Central Switzerland

    • With its many lakes, interconnecting valleys and abundant cable cars, Central Switzerland offers beauty and challenges in equal measure.

Rigi provides a wide choice of take-off directions and can accommodate a broad range of flying conditions.

Pilatus and Titlis offer spectacular high altitude launch sites, while the wide valleys provide a range of cross country routes.

For the hike-and-fly enthusiasts, there are numerous routes around Mythen and Sattel, with reliable thermal possibilities.

Frequent cable car access to Stoos and in Canton Uri ensures that bad thermals or bad luck will not stop you from returning to the sky.

With many of the take-offs being at the border of the swiss plateau and the alps, wind conditions can be very sensitive to the topography, and local knowledge if the area is invaluable, if not vital.
